History: The Lutheran people of the area known as "Sugar Valley Mountain" above Carroll came together in 1865. On 13 August 1865, they erected a house of worship. The building committee included Isaac Robins, John N. Meisner, and Emanuel Herman. A burial ground was laid out at the church. The congregation eventually disbanded, and in 1963 the building was sold to Gottlieb Kaercherand dismantled. |
